The Commercial team leads all sales and marketing efforts for Novo Nordisk Inc. The Position
Provide leadership and direction to a team of 4 direct reports who develop and deliver new Omnichannel marketing capabilities. Collaborate cross functionally to identify a clear roadmap on new or enhanced tools to reach NNI customers. Work with other functional leads to identify and prioritize specific features to be added to the marketing automation platforms. Apply sound project management of resources and timelines to enable efficient execution and delivery of enhancements. Lead the Omnichannel Reporting Function and assure data integrity across Patient and Health Care Professional (HCP) data. Manage a team of NNI and contingent employees to ensure that their work efforts support the development, execution and communication of robust results and insights dashboards across all HCP and Patient relationship marketing and non-personal promotion campaigns. Identifies new capabilities needed to drive future Multichannel Marketing capabilities. Balances innovation and proven-tactics to ensure the business is supported while testing new/future opportunities. Establish understanding and expertise in the data models for the Health Care Professional and the Patient Databases. Establish and maintain documentation on the channel consent and opt out rules and processes. Ensure that the requirements for new data elements are managed through implementation and testing across the data architecture. Collaborate with IT to ensure that data elements are implemented in the reporting and other areas as needed.


Relationships
Reports to the Director, Omnichannel Marketing Operations. Interacts with all Relationship Marketing functions. Manages a team of NNI employees and contractors who all serve and support the brand teams in their HCP or Patient Relationship Marketing tactical execution. Other internal relationships include Commercial Effectiveness, Commercial IT, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Regulatory, Sales Operations, and Legal. Will also interact with global Omnichannel Team on International Digital Marketing Projects and outside organizations as required.


Essential Functions
  • Multichannel Marketing: Acquire and utilize knowledge across the current spectrum of marketing channels and integrate into NNI Multichannel Operations capabilities
  • Multichannel Marketing; Refine existing Marketing Measurement and Reporting capability and deploy reports to Patient and HCP stakeholders
  • Work with the Insights and Analytics team to provide necessary data to enable Contribution and return on investment (ROI) analytics
  • Patient and HCP RM; Identify new capabilities needed and develop plans to create them and processes to deliver them

Development of People
Ensure that individuals have robust development and learning plans are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.


Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, IT or related field or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of supervisory experience required
  • A minimum of 10 – 15+ years of progressive relationship, multi-channel, direct or database marketing experience demonstrating a steady career progression with increasing roles of responsibility
  • Ability to demonstrate and utilize extensive knowledge and experience in designing and implementing project plans
  • Familiar with relational database structures and database management applications
  • Ability to conceptualize changes needed to a data model to support new campaign journeys for Health Care Professionals and Patients alike
  • Familiar with the capabilities of Marketing Automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or others
  • Familiar with the functions within leading Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Business Objects and others
  • Planning, execution and follow-up: Effectively prioritizes and spends his/her time and the time of others on what is important Develops accurate short and long-term plans, forecasting and business analysis. Ensures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlines. Anticipates problems and roadblocks to avoid crisis management
  • The ability to think analytically, evaluate data and develop programs to test the effectiveness of tactics
