The Commercial team leads all sales and marketing efforts for Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI’s) robust portfolio, which includes insulins, analogues, GLP1s, devices, Oral Anti Diabetics (OAD), obesity medications, biopharmaceuticals and new products in the pipeline. The Position
Responsible for providing subject matter expertise and collaborating with teams focused on optimizing systems, processes, and tools that support the BioPharm Sales Team and increase its productivity. Responsible for ensuring efficient and effective strategic meetings for BioPharm Sales & Marketing, leading ad-hoc strategic projects to ensure complete integration of BioPharm processes and information, and providing support to the BioPharm Executive Office.


Relationships
Reports to the Senior Director, BioPharm Planning and Executive Support in support of both Growth Disorders and Hemophilia. Interacts extensively with BioPharm Leadership Team and BioPharm Regional Directors to drive performance of NNI products in Hemophilia and Growth Disorders markets. Works collaboratively with home office functions within and outside of BioPharm including, but not limited to, Commercial Insights & Analytics, Strategic Meetings, Data Governance, IT, Training, Human Resource (HR), Legal, and Compliance. Leads and serves on cross-functional teams, representing BioPharm Sales & Marketing. External relationships include vendor partners.


Essential Functions
  • Manages BioPharm plan of action (POA) strategy, ensuring POA agenda alignment and seamless execution of Marketing strategy and tactics at the national, regional, and territory levels
  • Partners with key stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of BioPharm pre-POA, POA, and Regional Meetings
  • Represents BioPharm on the NNI POA Core Team and fosters collaboration between BioPharm and the Diabetes and Obesity Business Units
  • Partners with Training, Sales Leadership and Marketing to establish and measure impact of meetings
  • Provides line of business (LOB) expertise to critical Sales cycles, including incentives (IC) and Call Planning
  • Leads the deployment of new or revised tools and resources in support of BioPharm Field execution
  • Provides a high level of support to Senior Director, BioPharm Planning and Executive Support in support of the BioPharm Executive Office
  • Coordinates efficient execution of ad-hoc projects and reports, leveraging both internal and external resources as needed
  • Represents BioPharm in cross-functional team initiatives relating to strategic planning and process improvement

  • Ensures a field lens is incorporated into training materials, and reference guides designed for use by the BioPharm Sales Teams

Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year institution required
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience working in or partnering with a Sales, Sales Operations or Sales Support function, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical company required
  • Previous cross-functional team leadership experience preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, execute and follow up in a timely manner while anticipating issues and roadblocks required
  • Ability to create and deliver concise business or project updates to senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong leadership skills – must demonstrate the ability to build relationships and connect with client groups and key stakeholders within and outside the company
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point required
