The Position
Provide analytical and project support required for Diabetes Incentive Compensation programs and Commercial model initiatives. Direct and perform analysis identifying business drivers and opportunities within IC bonus programs. Ensure maintenance of applicable tools and systems used for data management and analysis. Develop and implement historical IC database and support publication of IC reporting such as scorecards, goal sheets, IC tracker and Sales Excellence reports.


Relationships
position reports to the Associate Director, Field Force Incentives. Interacts intensively with members of the Diabetes Sales Force and Field Force Effectiveness. Other relationships include interactions with Information Technology, Marketing and HR. External relationships include vendors and information technology developers.


Essential Functions
  • Contribute to Personnel Placement initiatives, including recommendations on business rules and execution of business rules
  • Develop and administer training for Diabetes Sales personnel on available IC tools and reporting
  • Develop standard operating procedures for IC program
  • Ensure scorecards for the team are created, quality checked and distributed
  • Evaluate new sources of data and software capabilities that will enhance ability to analyze and manage data
  • Lead development & creation of historical Incentive Compensation Data repository, including maintenance
  • Manage and/or owns special analytical projects with significant business impact (e.g., enhancements, training and communication, reporting automation)
  • Manage long-term projects that require constant follow-up and detail
  • Participate in pre-Plan Of Action (POA) and POA meetings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior management providing necessary data and analysis
  • Perform sophisticated ad hoc analyses in regards to IC plans; translate sales data into presentation format to support senior management in identifying trends and opportunities in the business
  • Recommend and develop various departmental systems and procedures, tools, templates
  • Support Diabetes Sales Commercial Model development, including zip code refinement and maps development
  • Support in-sourcing initiatives within Incentive Compensation
  • Work with supervisor and Sales leadership to develop the Diabetes IC bonus program and act as the day to day operational lead


Qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in analytical field is required. At least 2 years of prior experience with incentive compensation or sales analytics in a pharmaceutical company preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent and Xponent Plantrak
  • Prior experience with Business Intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Answers/Business Objects, SAS, Qlikview highly desirable Project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
  • Quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
