The Position
Responsible for management, planning, development and implementation of all Patient Support Program related communication streams. Supporting initial and ongoing patient access and affordability support communication channels related to NovoCare® Patient Access and Affordability Support. Establishes an operational approach along with documented procedures and processes to ensure appropriate operational execution.


Relationships
Reports to the Associate Director, Patient Affordability Navigator and Communications on the Patient Support Programs (PSP) Circle of Excellence (COE) team. Key internal relationships include brand marketing, market access, digital health, corporate communications, commercial insights and analytics, IT, sales, medical/Clinical Medical & Regulatory (CMR), legal, compliance, and regulatory.


Essential Functions
  • The role is responsible for managing the process for PSP Access & Affordability Communication Management planning, development, execution and reporting/optimization; working closely with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing, RM Managers and Media in operationalizing and coordinating communication programs as appropriate
  • Define and document operational standards for efficient execution and management of communications
  • Manage and oversee budgets at a campaign or project level
  • Help identify work-process efficiencies across commercial and non-commercial operational functions
  • Develop and manage best-in-class capabilities and infrastructure for the execution of Patient and Healthcare Professional (HCP) Relationship Management programs through establishing system requirements, processes, procedures, preferred supplier identification and align to future capability roadmap
  • Ensure a framework, process and business rules are in place to execute and manage communication and support campaigns
  • Ensure communication plans are appropriately quality assurance (QA) tested end-to-end, before going live. Maintain robust compliance, quality and privacy standards in handling customer information and programs
  • Identify and monitor relevant operational measurements and key performance indicators (KPI’s), as well as operational effectiveness and accuracy of the campaigns
  • Proactively assess and recommend operational best practices and work to ensure standardization and efficiencies across brands, and/or disease areas
  • Program Enhancement Requests: Program specifications and documentation for both online and offline channels
  • Program Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support, insight and guidance to Brand Marketing regarding current program/operational status by way of daily interactions and weekly status calls
  • Provide guidance on execution strategy and approach, database functionality and support Reporting and Analytics (Business and Operations)
  • Oversee key supplier relationships for execution of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) initiatives including Statement of Work (SOW) development, budget management, performance management and ad hoc issue resolution
  • Partner with IT organization to ensure Novo Nordisk develops the technological requirements to support execution of current and future CRM initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of 6 years of patient marketing, database marketing, CRM, marketing, account management, project management and/or other related roles required. Pharmaceutical, retailor Financial Services industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills to manage multi­faceted, complex CRM programs both internally and with external partners/suppliers
  • Demonstrated strong communications, presentation and, relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing third party data and fulfillment vendors, including database, teleservices, fulfillment, etc. vendors
  • Experience with email, direct mail, data entry, telecommunication (inbound and outbound) and digital campaign programs
  • Develops accurate short- and long-term plans, forecasting and business analysis
  • Ensures timely execution and follow-up. Meets deadlines
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross­ functional stakeholders
  • Possesses CRM technical and functional expertise in developing and integrating multi­channel campaigns, including experience with campaign management tool experience (Unica, Aprimo, Adobe, IMS or similar)
  • Prior hands-on experience with off the shelf operational campaign management and CRM technologies
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and influence cross functional stakeholders in a fast­-paced environment
