The Position
This position supports the Executive Director in strategy development for the Diabetes Business Unit as well as providing executive support to the other leaders of the organization including but not limited to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Diabetes Business Unit. In addition, this role will be responsible for improving upon, managing, and driving NNI's Diabetes Process and supporting resource planning across the business unit.

Position will support Executive Director in managing projects, preparing presentations and other key materials for the SVP as well as driving key processes in support of the commercial diabetes leadership team.

This position reports into the Executive Director, Diabetes Business Unit Strategy. The incumbent will have regular interaction with NNI’s Executive Team, senior leaders across Commercial, Obesity, and BioPharm, as well as several internal and global stakeholders across operational and other support functions (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, etc.). This role does not have any direct reports; however, will the Senior Manager will frequently lead project teams and be responsible for driving accountability and follow through throughout NNI.

Essential Functions
  • This role will focus on the optimization and execution of the Diabetes Business Unit, Franchise and Brand Strategy Processes
  • Responsible for project management for various Diabetes Unit initiatives and will support the Executive Director in responding to NNI Executive Team (ET), Senior Leader Requests, and NN A/S or other global requests for NNI Diabetes Unit feedback/information
  • Will be responsible for organizing, streamlining, and ensuring optimal pull through of relevant processes and projects by clearly defining goals, scope of work, key milestones, deadlines, assembly of project teams, manage relevant stakeholders, etc.
  • Supports the development of the US Diabetes Business Unit strategy through solid understanding of business growth opportunities, translating conceptual conversations into presentable, professional, and practical presentations, project plans, or business cases
  • Understand business challenges and opportunities and apply knowledge to offer novel solutions to support the Diabetes Business Unit profitability and sustainability
  • Communicates directly with, prepare communications for, and/or consult on an as needed basis to a diverse internal audience, including Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other senior leaders throughout the organization

Physical Requirements
10-20% overnight travel required.

  • Bachelor’s Required; Master’s or Advanced Degree with Business Focus Preferred
  • Experience Level: Minimum of 7 years related experience preferably in a consulting, project management, and/or executive support role. Advance degree may be used to offset years of experiences if applicable. Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly, Excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced PowerPoint and Office program skills, Ability to synthesize business insights into presentable formats, Strong understanding of business principles, structured approach to problem solving, ability to work efficiently and independently
