Novo Nordisk in West Lebanon, NH has an immediate opening for a Category Manager to join our team and lead/manage the contractor and vendor selection process and maintain the list of qualified vendors. The Category Manager will ensure the acquisition of high quality goods/services at the best possible prices by negotiating and monitoring contracts with selected suppliers. This role is responsible for managing continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficient and effective sourcing practices that will realize increased investment efficiency of monies spend and ensure fair value and service accountability.We're looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills & abilities and experience:
  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 5 years of experience and increasing responsibility in planning /purchasing or related field preferred

Skills & abilities:
  • Strong Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodologies, Processes and Purchasing practices
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Computer skills including experience with Excel and electronic Material management systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving skills
  • Willing to learn LEAN and Flow concepts and skills

Physical requirements and working environment:
  • Local and International Travel: 0 – 5%
  • The ability to climb. stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and walk.
  • The ability to pull, lift, finger, and grasp.
  • The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication.
  • Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers.
  • While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally.
  • This position may lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
  • The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes.
